Please join the New York City Bar Association  for a lively discussion on how women of color can successfully build their legal careers without losing their identity.  Celebrated is the release of Helen Wan's The Partner Track, her debut novel about competing for partner at a prestigious global law firm and how politics and outsider status complicate the journey for one young woman of color. After Helen Wan shares an excerpt from The Partner Track, Helen and Vivica will discuss Helen's inspiration for writing the novel and successful strategies for women of color as they climb the corporate ladder. A Q&A session and a cocktail reception will follow.

Speakers: HELEN WAN, Associate General Counsel, Time Inc.; Author, The Partner Track; VIVIA CHEN, Chief Blogger, The Careerist and Senior Reporter, The American Lawyer

Sponsored by: Committee on Women in the Profession, Lori Pines, Chair; Committee on Minorities in the Profession, S. Jeanine Conley, Chair
