KALAGNY Corporate and Tax Committee invites you to a meet and greet reception on February 21, 2017, at Ichi Cellar (6 East 32nd Street, New York, NY 10016), starting at 6:30 PM. In attendance will be New York City's Tax Advocate Eunkyong Choi, from the Office of the New York Taxpayer Advocate.  See the event flyer and RSVP here.

In June 2016, Eunkyong Choi became head of The Office of the Taxpayer Advocate, an independent office within the New York City Department of Finance set up to help New York City residents with property and business tax problems after they have found difficulty in fixing them on their own.

Although the Office of the Taxpayer Advocate is an independent office, Ms. Choi works very closely with the property and business divisions of Department of Finance to better identify systemic issues in the department, to help enhance communications to taxpayers and to improve community outreach.  Ms. Choi holds an LL.M in Taxation and J.D. from Washington University School of Law School in St. Louis Missouri.

Read more about Ms. Choi in this press release.
