This CLE presentation will provide the reasons why graphicons are so difficult to
interpret and provide some best practices recommended by a research group of
working professional interpreters and translators in the USA who practice in multiple settings including court and other legal settings. Further, we will discuss how critical it is to be diversity, equity and inclusion appropriate. The visual image may portray unconscious bias and stereotype what it is trying to represent.
