A little bit about our first host –

Judge Ona T. Wang was sworn in as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York on April 19, 2018.  Ona previously served as a partner in BakerHostetler’s litigation group, focusing her practice on civil, criminal and regulatory issues, including as a member of the legal team handling the investigation and litigation arising from BakerHostetler’s appointment as counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Securities, LLC.  She also served as the vice chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and a member of the firm’s Women’s Committee and Diversity Committee.

Ona clerked for the Hon. Deborah A. Batts from 1998-2000. She holds an A.B. from Harvard University, a J.D. from New York University Law School and a Ph.D. in Zoology from Duke University.
