Mediation is increasingly becoming the preferred method for resolving disputes, both here in the U.S. and globally.  A group of distinguished panelists comprising a mediator, an advocate, and an in-house attorney will discuss the essential aspects of effective mediation advocacy, including how to prepare a case for mediation, strategies for maximizing the mediation session, effective negotiation, using the mediator to your best advantage, and how to overcome an impasse. Discussion will also address the impact diverse mediators can bring to the process and the importance of developing cross-cultural competency skills in the mediation process.
