The Importance of Engaging in Judicial Screening Committee Panels

We look forward to having a candid discussion regarding participation on judicial screening panels with input from experienced lawyers and AABANY members who have served on screening panels. The goal is to share past experiences with attorneys of all levels and formulate a blueprint on how our members can be more effective participants in screening panels, utilizing the existing rules and the lawyer’s ability to persuade and paying careful attention to details.

The program is targeted towards AABANY members and members of the Judiciary Committee who may serve in this crucial role in the future. 

We will discuss:

• the roles and responsibilities of screening panel members,
• how the procedure works from top to bottom,
• and past experiences.
