Jury selection and trial team staffing confronts practitioners with more myths, stereotypes, ethical dilemmas, and missed opportunities than any other aspect of a trial. In this CLE, our distinguished panel breaks down the jury selection process, Batson framework, and principles as to how practitioners can identify and consider potential jurors. The panel will also discuss the implicit biases that accompany trial team staffing and jury selection. Finally, the panel will discuss the ethical implications of balancing vigorous advocacy on behalf of a client and selecting diverse juries and trial teams.

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP will be offering the CLE credit for this program.  Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is an approved provider of CLE in NY, CA and IL.  This program will offer 1.5 hours of transitional and non-transitional NY ethics credit, 1.5 CA ethics credit and 1.5 IL ethics credit.
