AWIB features prominent Asian women in the legal profession in our annual series, titled Raising the Bar. In itsfifth year of highlighting Asian women legal professionals, this year we are turning our attention to Asian women partners in major law firms. We will be engaging in a meaningful dialogue and learning from the experiences of a notable panel of Asian women partners in large and prominent law firms in the United States. What were their paths to success and advancement?Did they follow the “unwritten rules”, “stick to the schedule” and “be perfect”?
Our panel discussion will be led by Alice Young, the first Asian woman partner in a major law firm in New York. She has a four (4) decade understanding of the partnership track and is a respected member of the legal and business community. Our four panelists are partners in well-known law firms and each have a unique story to share as to their decision to pursue a career in law and their paths to achieving leadership roles in their respective firms.
