Description
This seminar aims at incorporating tax and immigration attorneys' work to help clients who are immigrants to navigate federal, state and local taxes. The topics cover areas such as how to report taxes when gifted assets by foreign relatives, how to handle payroll and income taxes when some employees are undocumented workers, and the impact of newly passed IRS, State and local regulations on the immigration community. The panel discussion will take place at Venable’s New York office (1270 Avenue of the Americas), and 1.5 CLE, CPE, and CE credits are being offered. The event will run from 6:30-8:30 pm (reception from 6:30-7:00, and seminar from 7-8:30 pm).
