AABANY Co-Sponsors: The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Foster Parenting
When: Wednesday October 29, 2025, 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Where: Troutman Pepper Locke
875 3rd Avenue (between 52nd and 53rd Streets), 17th floor, New York, New York 10022
Presented by: NYC Foster Mothers and Co-Presidents of Nourishing Hearts, Inc.: The different backgrounds and ethnicities of New York City children in foster care are reflective of the diversity of New York City itself.
**Call to Action**: If you are interested in becoming a NYC foster parent and learning about how you can give a foster child a temporary home that would allow them to retain a sense of language, food and cultural familiarity, or are just curious about the foster care system, please join us for an eye-opening information session and discussion led by two foster mothers (including AABANY member Helen Lee) and a foster care agency worker. Partners and spouses are welcome. Dinner will be served. The program will be from 6-7:30pm. Attendees are welcome to arrive as early as 5:30pm for networking and informal discussion.
The event is free, but registration by October 27 is required. Click on flyer for more details.
