AABANY Presents: Pathways to Court-Connected ADR - Expanding Access and Understanding for Diverse Practices Presented by AABANY's Government Service & Public Interest and Alternate Dispute Resolution Committees. This CLE program will provide an introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) within the court system, including an overview of mediator qualifications, apprenticeship pathways, and the process for joining court rosters. Participants will explore the growing prominence of mediation in today’s legal landscape and compare ADR with traditional litigation across various practice areas, such as family, civil, employment, commercial, personal injury, probate, and community disputes. The program will also offer practical guidance on court roster compensation procedures and best practices for successfully concluding court-annexed mediation.
