We are honored to announce that the Honorable John Nho Trong Nguyen, retired judge of the Superior Court of California, Orange County, will be the Keynote Speaker during the Dinner Banquet.   In 2007, the NCVAA honored Judge Nguyen with the Trailblazer Award for being a pioneer in the legal field and his contributions to the Vietnamese American community. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the NCVAA.     The NCVAA expresses its gratitude to Judge Nguyen for his continuing support. 
 CONFERENCE INFORMATION
 This year's conference, based on the theme "Connect. Collaborate.  Cultivate." marks the ninth occasion Vietnamese American attorneys from all over the country will convene to discuss issues and experiences of interest to the Vietnamese legal community. For the first time, the conference will be held in Massachusetts.
The conference kicks off with a Welcome Reception on the evening of September 18, hosted at Greenberg Traurig LLP at One International Place, Boston, MA 02110.
 The full-day conference follows on September 19, at Suffolk Law School, 120 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02108, and will include a series of esteemed speakers, informative panels, and networking events.
The conference concludes with a banquet dinner on the evening of September 19 hosted by NCVAA at Hai Le Moon Restaurant, 88 Beach Street, Boston, MA 02111.
 
 
 PRE-CONFERENCE NETWORKING NCVAA is excited to announce that it is working with Whova and will have its first conference application up and running at least 1 week before the conference.  Conference attendees should receive an email from Whova 1 week before the conference to download the app on smartphones and tablets.  
 Once Whova is downloaded, conference attendees may update their bio and contact information, build community within the event by connecting to organizers, attendees, and sponsors.  Attendees may browse the conference schedule, check out conference logistics to be more organized and productive at events and network with people before the event.  
 
 CLE PROGRAM INFORMATION  Attend and learn How to Effectively Deliver Legal Services that Adds Value to Clients from panelists, (i) Christine Bellon, VP Legal Affairs, Blueprint Medicines, (ii) Hoil Kim, General Counsel, GT Advanced Technologies, and (iii) Michelle Rhee, Assistant General Counsel, Bank of America.   Not sure of the recent updates from the U.S. Supreme Court? Four professors from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law, The University of Oklahoma School of Law, Texas A&M University College of Law, and University of New Mexico School of Law will provide their perspectives as legal scholars.   Join us for the dinner banquet to congratulate Professor Joseph Thai from The University of Oklahoma School of Law as he accepts the Trailblazer Award.    The planning committee is in the process of obtaining CLE approval for the panels.  For information about additional speakers and conference schedule, please download the Conference Schedule.
