Applications for the 2026 - 2027 AABANY Leadership Development Program are now open!

We are launching AABANY’s Leadership Development Program (ALDP) for 2026-2027 on October 23rd 2026. The ALDP is a selective, six‑month leadership program for high‑performing lawyers who aspire to become law firm partners, senior in‑house leaders, and General Counsels.  It addresses a reality many talented attorneys face: the path to senior leadership is rarely transparent—and rarely taught. Through an intimate, cohort-based experience, participants engage directly with distinguished law firm partners and accomplished in‑house Senior and General Counsels who have sat behind closed doors—on partnership committees, compensation panels, and executive leadership teams. This is not theory. ALDP focuses on the skills that truly determine advancement.

If you are at an inflection point in your career and are looking to advance, become a member of senior management or aspire to be a board of director, then this program is designed for you!

How to Apply:

• Send your resume and a Statement of Interest, no more than 2 pages long, showcasing why you are the best candidate to be promoted to partner or senior management and what you aim to gain from participating in ALDP.

The Deadline for submission of your materials is August 15th by 8 P.M. EST.  We will notify candidates by September 15, 2026.

The program will be hosted at a law firm in New York City on the following Fridays from 8am-12:30pm:

• October 23
• December 4
• February 5
  

The sessions will be held in person. Please apply if you are committed to changing the trajectory of your career, attending and being engaged in each session and creating a community. Please note that you are required to attend all three sessions in order to benefit from the program.
