The presenter at this event will be Keith Emmer, who will be speaking about:  

  • The real reasons lawyers should engage media, and common misconceptions;
  • challenges and opportunities specific to law firms;
  • engaging media as a small / solo firm vs. a big firm;
  • top efficient and effective strategies for busy lawyers / business owners.

Keith Emmer Biography: 

Keith Emmer is a strategic communications director focusing on litigation, crisis communications and public affairs. A licensed attorney, Keith frequently works with law firms in advising their clients – developing media strategy alongside case strategy, and providing journalists with legalese-to-English translations. His law firm clients have ranged in size from solo practitioners to several of the AmLaw 100.

Keith also helps law firms and other companies drive business growth by leveraging media and marketing communications. He frequently advises the founding teams of start-ups, and was himself a founding team member of an online service for recreational athletes featured in The New York Times, the social media site Mashable, and Entrepreneur magazine.

Keith’s individual and team recognitions include the PR News Award for Outstanding Media Exposure (Business Development); The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences Webby Award Official Honoree; and the American Bar Association Award of Excellence (for writing).

Keith holds his J.D. from New York University School of Law.
