This year, we want to highlight the skills needed to succeed as an attorney through the experiences of our distinguished panelists in the varied fields and professions in which they are engaged. Conference will be two panels (see below for a more detailed schedule of events) and feature some incredible panelists, including:
June Dipchand, Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom LLP
Aric Wu, Partner at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP
James Cho, Assistant US Attorney at the Eastern District of New York
Gregory Pan, Principal Counsel at Marvel Entertainment, LLC
Along with our great panelists, we will be honoring Mr. Don Liu as the recipient of the Hong Yen Chang award for his leadership and contributions to the APA legal community. The Hong Yen Chang award is named after Mr. Hong Yen Chang, a CLS alum and the first Chinese immigrant and Asian attorney licensed to practice law in New York and in the United States. The award ceremony will take place at the Gala after Mr. Liu's acceptance speech.
On that note, we are very excited to announce APALSA's first ever Gala! The Gala will consist of a sit-down dinner, Mr. Liu's keynote speech, a raffle for students, drinks, and dancing.
Conference is free to attend. Admission to Gala is $15 -- please register HERE so that we may have an accurate headcount for the event. Dress code for both Conference and Gala is business casual. Please feel free to circulate this invitation. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
