NYSBA's Commercial and Federal Litigation Section will be hosting Becoming An Ally: Four Trailblazing Jurists Discuss Diversity And Inclusion CLE. The panel consists of (1) the Chief Judge of the EDNY, Hon. Dora Irizarry, the first female Hispanic jurist to hold that position, (2) Hon. Laura Taylor Swain, one of the few female jurists of color in the SDNY, and the judge appointed by Chief Justice Roberts to oversee the Puerto Rico Debt Crisis litigation, (3) Hon. Saliann Scarpulla of the Commercial Division, an Italian American female jurist who has presided over numerous noteworthy matters, some involving the President of the United States, and (4) Hon. Joel Cohen, a former Davis Polk partner who also presides over the multi-billion dollar cases in the Commercial Division.
