The panel will discuss the issues and challenges related to legal departments and law firms pivoting to remote working arrangements, and the implications for the future in-house and outside legal services.  The panel will address the challenges they are facing by working remotely, how they ensure continuity and quality in supporting internal and external clients and customers, how they are managing staff remotely, how they are staying involved and informed to ensure they are identifying issues without the benefit of having all parties in one room, the expectations of in-house teams from their outside counsel, and best practices that have been put in place.  The panel will also address the adoption of legal technology as the need to be agile and cost effective in turning around volumes of work increases, how the current crisis has impacted legal operations and identified a need to use technology and tools more – whether it be collaboration tools, contract management tools or tools to monitor and manage the work of staff working remotely, and the re-imagining of law departments and firms now and in the future.
