The AABANY Solo and Small Firm Practice Committee Presents: Conversations with Government Lawyers: Lessons on How to Deal with Them from Those Who Know
This program will feature a conversation with current and former government lawyers, and address from their perspective how practitioners should approach and deal with government lawyers and inquiries. In alphabetical order they are:
- Mark Fang who is currently Executive Director of the City of Yonkers Commission on Human Rights and Affirmative Action;
- William Wang who is currently an Assistant Attorney General in the Enforcement Section of the Charities Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General; and
- Karen Yau who formerly was an Assistant Attorney General in the Labor Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General.
Everyone should have a working knowledge about how to react at all hours of the day and night when your client is the focus on a government inquiry or investigation. You should have a better answer than "It's not my area of practice." when your client calls you.
