All Active Members as of January 13 (the Record Date for the Election) should all have received an online proxy ballot. Please follow the instructions in that email and cast your vote by February 4, 2021. If you did not receive an email with voting instructions, please contact main@aabany.org. The Asian American Bar Association of New York (“AABANY”) Annual Meeting of Members (the “Annual Meeting”) will be held on February 9, 2021 at 7:00 pm ET on Remo. At the Annual Meeting, there are two proposals scheduled to be voted on: - Proposal 1 – To elect the officers identified on the online ballot to serve a one-year term for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2021 and ending March 31, 2022 (the “2022 Fiscal Year”); and
- Proposal 2 – To elect 8 directors from the 8 nominees identified on the online ballot to serve two-year terms beginning on the first day of the 2022 Fiscal Year.
Every Active Member in good standing (as defined in AABANY’s by-laws) as of the Record Date of January 13, 2021 shall be entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting. Your vote is very important. We need a quorum of 100 to conduct the Election at the Annual Meeting, and your proxy ballot will help us attain the necessary quorum. Whether or not you plan to attend the Annual Meeting, we encourage you to complete the online ballot by Feb. 4. If you would prefer to receive the proxy ballot in hard copy, please contact main@aabany.org. If you plan to attend the Annual Meeting on Remo, register on this page.
