Join the Young Lawyers Committee for the first part in a series of conversations throughout the year about young lawyers navigating their careers in law firms and finding their place in the legal profession during COVID-19. If the path to success in law firms was formidable before, the unique challenges and issues presented to young attorneys in law firms during COVID-19 may have made it all the more uncertain. This panel will kick off the year by discussing the various challenges that young attorneys in law firms may be facing during the pandemic and feature a candid conversation with experienced practitioners on how to navigate those issues toward professional development and success in law firms.

The panel will address, among other topics, developing connections and adding value as an associate while working remotely; networking and building one’s professional brand while social distancing and/or quarantining; preparing for associate evaluations and tips for making positive impressions, both internally within the firm and externally on clients; and maintaining balance, perspective and momentum in the new norm of working from home.
