Join Government Service & Public Interest (GSPI) and Pro Bono and Community Service (PBCS) Committees of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) for a discussion with seasoned practitioners to learn about how lawyers can preserve and protect the civil rights of the public at nonviolent political actions. This discussion focuses on the perspectives of lawyers as a legal observer, advocate, organizer, and participant at protests, demonstrations, and rallies. The program will include a discussion of the recent history of mass protests in New York City’s various Asian American communities.
