The Center on Asian Americans and the Law at Fordham Law School invites you to a presentation by Professor Elaine Chiu entitled
"The Model Minority Victim."

The presentation is based on her forthcoming article which

  1. Examines the rise of hate incidents and crimes against Asian Americans in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic based on 2021 data compiled by the AABANY Anti-Asian Violence Task Force, and
  2. Assesses the effectiveness of the criminal legal system as a tool of anti-racism.


The presentation will be of great interest to anyone concerned with social justice and equality.

Light snacks will be provided and seats are limited.
