The Center on Asian Americans and the Law at Fordham Law School invites you to a presentation by Professor Elaine Chiu entitled "The Model Minority Victim."
The presentation is based on her forthcoming article which - Examines the rise of hate incidents and crimes against Asian Americans in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic based on 2021 data compiled by the AABANY Anti-Asian Violence Task Force, and
- Assesses the effectiveness of the criminal legal system as a tool of anti-racism.
The presentation will be of great interest to anyone concerned with social justice and equality.
