Join AABANY and KALAGNY as we support the family of Christina Yuna Lee in court on Tuesday, July 30^th. Christina’s life tragically ended on February 13, 2022 when Assamad Nash broke into her apartment and stabbed her more than 40 times, killing her. Her killer has pleaded guilty to Murder in the Second Degree and Burglary in the First Degree and will be sentenced in New York Supreme Court to 30 years to life in state prison. Christina’s violent death shocked the city’s Asian American communities that were already suffering from ongoing attacks inspired by the pandemic. On July 30^th, let’s gather to mark this moment of justice and to denounce anti-Asian hate and violence.

The location of the sentencing will be Part 71, at 100 Centre, Street, NY, NY. There are security procedures in the lobby that may have lines. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the sentencing.

As of now the time of sentencing has been officially shared. Sentencing will occur at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 30th. When you register, please provide your name and mobile number in the RSVP comments. Note: AABANY and KALAGNY will be using WhatsApp as the communication portal.
