Syracuse University College of Law’s Black Law Students Association will present its Annual Black History Month Gala, The Power of the First Step: Honoring the Journey and Paving Black Futures in Law. The evening will celebrate leadership and legacy within the legal community, including honoring Joyce Y. Hartsfield with an award named for the late Langston C. McKinney. Commissioner Paula Johnson, BLSA faculty advisor and Executive Board member, encourages Commissioners to attend either in person or online.
