The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) and Fordham Law School’s Center on Asian Americans and the Law will convene lawyers and law students dedicated to civil rights and community lawyering work. The event welcomes recent law graduates, public interest lawyers, pro bono and volunteer lawyers, and lawyers from other backgrounds looking to support Asian Americans’ fight for justice.
The event has an exciting lineup of advocates, lawyers, community organizers, and legal scholars working at the forefront of Asian American advocacy. The conference will take place on Tuesday, June 16 (1:30 PM – 6:30 PM) and Wednesday, June 17 (9:30 AM – 5:30 PM) at Fordham Law School. Visit the website for more information on the topics that will be explored, which include community-centered lawyering for Asian American communities, how storytelling drives change, Asian American legal history, and other topics. Due to generous funding, all attendees will have a complimentary access to this event. However space is limited! Sign up early at the registration link to reserve your spot this summer. Email at events@aaldef.org for any questions.
