The Nassau County and Suffolk County Women in the Courts Committees invite you to attend a FREE, virtual CLE program on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, "Healing Families, Strengthening Futures: An Introduction to Family Mental Health and Wellness Courts".

This one-hour CLE will provide a practical overview of the emerging Family Mental Health and Wellness problem-solving court model.  The program will explain the purpose of these courts, the families they serve, and how mental-health-focused support is integrated into the court process.

Attendees will receive a streamlined, start-to-finish guide covering identification, screening, entry into the program, and what participation looks like through completion in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  This session will help practitioners understand expectations, available resources, and how the courts collaborate with community partners to support family stability and wellness.

This program is presented by the Nassau County Women in the Courts Committee and the Suffolk County Women in the Courts Committee. Speakers include the Honorable Caren Loguercio, Supervising Judge of the Suffolk County Family Court; the Honorable Robin M. Kent, Acting Supreme Court Justice, Nassau County Family Court; and Ellen Ritz, RN, President of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Central Suffolk Long Island. Special introductory remarks will be made by Jeneen Wunder, Chief of Staff to First Deputy Chief Administrative Judge Norman St. George and the Honorable Debra J. Young, Statewide Coordinating Judge for Problem-Solving Courts.

1.0 Credit in the Areas of Diversity, Inclusion, and Elimination of Bias will be available to experienced attorneys, courtesy of the Nassau County Equal Justice in the Courts Committee. An attendance form and an evaluation form must be completed and returned in order to receive CLE credit.
