GSPI will be attending the Community Panel from 4-6pm where local experts discuss the importance of the Bigger Better Bottle Bill, a pending legislation that doubles the redemption rate from 5 to 10 cents and expands the types of cans and bottles eligible for return, affecting immigrant canners/workers in New York City.

GSPI will meet at the conclusion of the Community Panel, around 6pm, to walk to Jing Fong at 202 Centre Street, where GSPI will hold its first membership meeting and dinner at 6:30pm. We expect to be joined by Siyan Wong, among other people, to learn about community events and issues.

The Community Panel is free. Attendees will pay for their own food orders at Jing Fong.
