Join the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY)’s Trusts & Estates Committee for our monthly meeting of AABANY members and non-members who are focused on or interested in the practice of Trusts & Estates law, which spans from trusts, estates, and tax planning to Surrogate’s Court practice and litigation.

The Trusts & Estates Committee is dedicated to providing a platform for networking, mentoring, professional development, and public service.

What We Do:

  • Host monthly committee meetings, generally featuring a different speaker each time, drawn from both inside and outside the committee, on relevant T&E topics.
  • Host CLE's on becoming a Guardian ad Litem, matters to consider when a member of the "sandwich generation."
  • Run student outreach and career panels, like our Tax & T&E Career Panel at Cardozo Law School.
  • Collaborate with other AABANY committees, external bar associations, and community organizations, such as sessions on Transfer on Death deeds and housing/T&E/family law issues; helping with the pro bono committee.

Why Join?

  • Stay current on developments in trusts & estates practice, Surrogate's Court practice, and estate and gift tax planning
  • Connect with T&E attorneys, judges, and practitioners
  • Get involved in CLE programming and student mentorship Open to all AABANY members, interested practitioners, and community members.
