Law Day" (VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS NEEDED)
The Metropolitan Black Bar, Assemblywoman
Annette M. Robinson 56th A.D., NYC Councilman Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. 36th C.D.,
Community Board #3 and Brooklyn Legal Services Association present
"Community Law Day"
The Community Law Day will serve as
a Know Your Rights on various areas of the law. Volunteer attorneys
are needed to provide free information on the law. Please
register as soon as possible and email Dweynie Paul
at dweynie@mbbanyc.org with your name, phone number, practice area
and availability.
Members of the community will
have an opportunity to speak with an attorney one on one or in a group setting
to inquire about specific areas of the law.
Some of the legal areas include:
- Criminal
- Family
- Landlord / Tenant
- Foreclosure
- Small Claims Court
- Civil/Personal Injury/Property
Damage
- Consumer Debt / Bankruptcy
- Labor and Employment
- Immigration
- Elder Care/Wills
- Traffic Violations
- Civil Rights (and other legal
topics)
