Join us for an intimate conversation about the married couple’s road to a career in the law, their lives as litigators, and how they give back to the community through their pro bono activities. The Historical Society’s Young Lawyers Committee developed this series to provide young and aspiring lawyers with the opportunity of learning from role models who are leading figures of the Bar.  

Roy has built a distinguished career as a litigator at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He chaired its Litigation Department and sat as a member of its Executive Committee. The list of awards and recognition he has received from both the Bench and Bar is a testament to a career spent in service to others. He is a long-standing Trustee of the Society. Patricia Hynes was a litigator at prominent NY law firms and also worked for the government at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District. She has given back to the legal community in many ways, including as a former President of the New York City Bar and former Chair of the Board of The Legal Aid Society.
