ends on February 6, 2026, 11:59 pm EST.
Annual Meeting of Members: The
Asian American Bar Association of New York (“AABANY”) Annual Meeting of Members (the “Annual Meeting”) will be held in person on February 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm ET at King & Spalding located at 1290 Avenue
of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), New York, NY 10104. There will be no generally available remote option for the Annual Meeting.
Every Active Member in good standing (as defined in AABANY’s by-laws) as of the Record Date of
January 5, 2026 shall be entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting.
Your vote is very important. We need a quorum of 92 to conduct the Election at the Annual Meeting, and your proxy ballot will help us
attain the necessary quorum. We are currently about 20 votes short of quorum. To help us attain quorum for the meeting, please cast your proxy vote TODAY, even if you plan on attending the meeting in person. If you would prefer to complete and send back a proxy ballot instead, download the PDF form here. In all cases, please cast your ballot by no later than Feb. 6, 2026.

On Thursday, January 22, AABANY welcomed nearly 40 attorneys, mediators, and law students to 60 Centre Street for “Pathways to Court‐Connected ADR,” a 90‐minute CLE program designed to expand understanding of New York’s court‐sponsored mediation programs. Co‐sponsored by KALAGNY, NYSCDM, and the New York County Supreme Court Civil Branch ADR Team, the program offered both in‐person and virtual attendance, drawing a diverse and engaged audience eager to learn more about the growing landscape of court-connected dispute resolution.
AABANY, in partnership with the Asian American Law Fund of New York (AALFNY), is pleased to announce the Turning the Tide (T3) Project. Following the February 10, 2021 publication of AABANY and Paul, Weiss’ report, A Rising Tide of Hate and Violence against Asian Americans in New York During COVID-19: Impact, Causes, Solutions, AABANY established an Anti-Asian Violence Task Force to advance the proposals outlined in the report and consider other solutions to address the surge of anti-Asian hate and violence in the community. The Task Force advances the T3
project, which aims to incorporate a three-pronged approach encompassing education and communication, advocacy, and research, to address anti-Asian hate and violence.
Please stand together with AABANY and AALFNY in turning
the tide against anti-Asian hate and violence. We are now accepting donations to support the T3 Project. Donations can be made to AALFNY and will be tax deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law.

In Fall 2020, AABANY launched a legal referral and information service (“LRIS”) as a public service primarily to help the general public, and especially the Asian American community. The goals of the LRIS are to provide information and referrals,
to recommend lawyers or other resources to provide competent, ethical legal advice and representation, to educate the public about legal representation and to increase respect for the legal profession.
We are seeking qualified
and experienced lawyers to serve on the panels of lawyers eligible to receive referrals from AABANY’s LRIS.
This is a vital program for AABANY that we anticipate will greatly benefit our panelists and fellow members as well
as the public, and especially the Asian American community. If you would like to apply to be considered for the LRIS panel, please contact joinlris@aabany.org, and we will send you an application
