Join the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY)’s Issues Committee for our monthly meeting, where we come together to discuss, respond to, and take action on the most pressing legal and social issues impacting our communities. What We Do The Issues Committee is AABANY’s hub for advocacy, education, and community engagement. Our work includes: • Hosting timely panels, CLE programs, training, workshops, and discussions on critical topics such as immigration policy, civil rights, rule of law, and other issues impacting the AANHPI community • Advising the AABANY Board and the Amicus Brief Committee when asked to take a stance on frontline issues • Engaging in policy discussions, public education, and advocacy efforts affecting the AANHPI community • Collaborating with other AABANY committees, external bar associations, and community organizations
