A wide range of ethical issues can arise in pro bono practice, just as in fee billable work. While the New York Rules of Professional Conduct can be helpful in defining and addressing the scope of an attorney's duties and responsibilities, many kinds of unpredictable situations can emerge. For example, what issues arise when pro bono counsel and legal services staff attorneys disagree on the goals or process for properly representing a client? The experts on this panel will address several ethical challenges pro bono attorneys could face during the course of representation.
2.0 CLE credits for Ethics will be provided. This event is free for City Bar members and attorneys working at non-profits or government agencies; $30 for other non-members.
