Rachel Ji-Young Yoo, Co-Chair of AABANY's ADR Committee, will be moderating one of the major events at the 2025 New York State Council on Divorce Mediation (NYSCDM) Annual Conference, taking place April 24-26 at the Gideon Putnam Hotel, 24 Gideon Putnam Road, Saratoga Springs, NY.

The NYSCDM is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the highest professional standards in divorce mediation. With a 42-year tradition, the Council elevates its members and allied professionals through educational programs. NYSCDM's members include mediators, attorneys, financial neutrals, mental health professionals, and other allied professionals, with experience ranging from newly trained mediators to those with decades in the field.

This year’s conference theme is Mediation Crucible: The Art of Process Excellence in Support of Families. The branding features a broken and repaired crucible, symbolizing the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which means "to join with gold." It reminds us to stay optimistic in the face of challenges and to embrace life’s imperfections. As mediators and allied professionals, we help families navigate change, empowering them to redefine relationships and responsibilities in new and transformative ways.
