As AI reshapes how legal work gets done, “AI-native” has become one of the most talked-about ideas in the profession, and one of the least defined. What does it actually mean for an in-house legal team to be AI-native? Join us for a Friday evening happy hour and a focused conversation with fellow in-house counsel and legal ops leaders. A few practitioners will kick things off with brief perspectives from their own experience, and then we will open it up to the room. Featured Speakers: We're honored to be joined by three practitioners who bring decades of legal experience and are hands-on with AI transformation inside their own teams. Stacy Lettie — Chief of Staff & Head of Legal Ops, Organon Marc Mandel — SVP & General Counsel, EXOS Matthew Wojtkowiak — Chief Legal Officer, ECI They bring some of the sharpest, most current observations on where this is all heading, and they love to share what they're learning. Together they'll take on the core question head-on: what does it actually mean to be an AI-native legal team, and how do you get there? During the open discussion, we'll also dig into questions like: Reality check — what's actually working inside legal teams today, and what's still hype? Governance & security — as agents take on real work, how do we manage the new risks they bring? People & talent — how do you build and develop a team that's ready for this? This gathering is primarily for in-house counsel and legal ops leaders, with a small mix of lawyers and builders who are shaping how legal professionals work with AI. Come ready to share, question, and connect. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided. Seats are limited to 10 for AABANY members to keep the group small and focused, so we encourage you to RSVP early. Registration closes on July 14 or when capacity is reached. A fully refundable $20 deposit is required to register and will be refunded to AABANY members after attendance. This event is co-hosted by the Asian American Bar Association of New York, Legal Tech Frontier, and Cooley LLP.
