Ever wonder what it feels like to ride the streets of the five boroughs of New York City car-free -- including riding on the upper level of the Ed Koch Queensborough Bridge and the Verazzano Bridge (which is open to bikers only for the 5 Boro Bike tour)? Then come ride with the AABANY-SABANY team for the 5 Boro Bike Tour, taking place on Sunday, May 3.
Our teams will be raising money for our Pro Bono Clinics, which are serving under-served and under-represented Asian American and South Asian communities in New York City.
We are asking each participant to donate or raise $400 (or more) to be part of the AABANY-SABANY team, which will cover the registration fees, with the excess to be donated to support AABANY’s Pro Bono Clinic and SABANY’s Pro Bono Clinic.
Details are being finalized right now, but if you are interested in finding out more or to be notified when final details are available, contact us at main@aabany.org, and we will keep you in the loop.

Those needing legal assistance should bring all documents pertaining to their legal issues to the clinic location, no earlier than 6:00 PM on the given day.

AABANY’s Issues Committee is pleased to invite you to join the newly formed AABANY Community Response Task Force! The Community Response Task Force (CRTF) is AABANY’s answer to the rapidly changing legal landscape and the need for quick, effective, and coordinated responses to the emergent issues that affect our communities. AABANY is firmly committed to being a strong voice and steadfast advocate on behalf of the Asian-American/Pacific-Islander community. In the past several months, we have all been witness to sweeping changes that necessitated powerful legal responses. While there have been some great triumphs, there were often times when it was difficult to obtain information, to find ways to contribute, or to organize a response quickly enough to be effective.
The CRTF is specifically designed to address these needs. The CRTF will serve as a central clearinghouse for information and coordination – tailoring the alerts sent to each volunteer based on that volunteer’s preferences and the needs of the community. Alerts and actions will range from emergency legal services to direct non-legal service actions and from workshops to rallies. Read more here.
