The In-House Counsel Link-Up Reception provides law firm invitees an opportunity to engage with numerous senior in-house counsel who have indicated a current or future need for outside legal services. So far, in less than a week of

We are launching AABANY’s Leadership Development Program (ALDP) for 2026-2027 on October 23rd, 2026. The ALDP is a selective, six‑month leadership program for high‑performing lawyers who aspire to become law firm partners, senior in‑house
leaders, and General Counsels. It addresses a reality many talented attorneys face: the path to senior leadership is rarely transparent—and rarely taught.

The AABANY Legal Referral and Information Service (LRIS) invites both current panelists and interested practitioners to participate in our referral network for the 2026–2027 term. AABANY’s LRIS is an ABA-recognized program that serves
as a trusted bridge connecting the public with experienced and qualified legal professionals. While our mission has a particular focus on serving the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, our referral services are available
to the public at large, generating a broad and diverse range of client inquiries across numerous practice areas.

On June 13, 2026, AABANY hosted its Fourth Annual Wellness Day at Brooklyn Law School. This successful event was made possible through the generous support of AABANY’s engaging speakers and generous sponsors, enabling participants to learn
about crucial issues related to mental and physical well-being among members of the legal profession. AABANY held its inaugural Wellness Day during former AABANY President Karen Kim’s 2023-2024 term, which focused on highlighting mental
health and well-being in the legal profession.
Since then, Wellness Day has continued as an annual event. Mental health and well-being are often overlooked and under-discussed. With programs like Wellness Day, AABANY aims to break down barriers and recognize mental health issues within
the legal profession, creating a safe and supportive space for people to share their stories. At Wellness Day this year, participants learned about topics such as managing stress, the importance of resilience, and keeping physically
fit.

The Asian Employee Resource
Group of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, in partnership with AABANY and the Center on Asian Americans and the Law at Fordham Law School, will be hosting a trial reenactment, Building Our Legacy: The Murder of Vincent Chin,
at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York at 500 Pearl Street in Manhattan. U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit Judge Denny Chin and Kathy Hirata Chin will narrate the reenactment.

AABANY, in partnership with the Asian American
Law Fund of New York (AALFNY), is pleased to announce the Turning the
Tide (T3) Project. Following the February 10, 2021 publication of AABANY
and Paul, Weiss’ report, A Rising Tide of Hate and Violence against Asian Americans in New York During COVID-19: Impact, Causes, Solutions,
AABANY established an Anti-Asian Violence Task Force
to advance the proposals outlined in the report and consider other
solutions to address the surge of anti-Asian hate and violence in the
community. The Task Force advances the T3
project, which aims to incorporate a three-pronged
approach encompassing education and communication, advocacy, and
research, to address anti-Asian hate and violence.
Please stand
together with AABANY and AALFNY in turning
the tide against anti-Asian hate and violence. We
are now accepting donations to support the T3 Project. Donations can be
made to AALFNY and will be tax deductible to the extent permitted by
applicable law.
